Our Program

Our program began in 2004 as Gloucestershire Fireflies. This began as two small teams, then known as Peewee and Juniors. In 2007, our founders Claire and Sarah then rebranded as GCA; a cheerleading academy offering classes to children and adults in schools and competitive and recreational classes across the county. Today, we have over 125 athletes on roll, with numerous National and International winning titles. At GCA we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and supportive environment with a family feel. We are passionate about the sport of cheerleading and take care to teach all fundamentals progressively so that all athletes reach their full potential. Cheerleading is fun and energetic and builds confidence, resilience, stamina. Our members make strong friendships and learn how to be good team players whilst doing something they truly love. In cheerleading, everyone has a role. Whether you enjoy the tumbling aspects or just love performing, we have a place for you. Come along and try one of our classes FOR FREE! We have classes for complete beginners through to veterans who have cheered for years. Not only do we have a variety of cheerleading teams, we also offer a range of other cheerleading and tumble classes for children and people of all ages.
